Rainscreen Cladding

A Rainscreen Cladding system is constructed of a bearing wall, an insulation layer and a cladding material that is fixed to the building.

This type of cladding system is seen as being the most efficient cladding system for Building Envelope purposes. Poor façade insulation will cause significant energy loss, rendering the building as inefficient and causing problems further down the line. On the other hand, Rainscreen Cladding favours energy saving due to the air cavity on the exterior façade of the building.
